Scott Hanft earned a bachelor of fine Arts Degree from California Institute of the Arts in photography and then moved to Kauai in 1989. The beauty of Kauai has inspired Scott to put together a ongoing collection of images over the years. These are rare moments captured from boats offshore, helecopters, motorized hangliders, Cessna airplanes and many hikes around the island. The underwater world of Kauai is also a big part of his work. In Febrary of 2000 he won the Hawaii Magazine photo contest with 1st and 2nd place entries. In January of 2006 he won again with 1st, 2nd and honorable mention entries.
